Overview

BeBrief is a pilot preflight briefing and readiness review app. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.

Information We Collect

Account and Profile Information

• Email address and authentication identifiers from Supabase Auth, Sign in with Apple, Google sign-in, or email sign-in.
• Pilot profile information you choose to enter, such as name, home airport, certificate details, and contact information used for flight-plan workflows.
• App preferences, onboarding state, notification preferences, and subscription status.

Aircraft, Route, Briefing, and Filing Information

• Aircraft profiles, equipment selections, performance setup data, weight and balance inputs, fuel settings, and readiness inputs you save.
• Route drafts, airport identifiers, departure times, waypoints, briefing summaries, filed-plan identifiers, lifecycle status, and related Flight Service workflow metadata.
• 1800WXBRIEF authorization status and the username you provide when connecting Flight Service workflows. BeBrief does not ask for or store your 1800WXBRIEF password.

Device, Notification, and Diagnostic Information

• Push notification tokens and device identifiers needed to deliver Flight Service and account notifications.
• RevenueCat customer identifiers and entitlement/subscription status. Payment card details are handled by Apple and are not collected by BeBrief.
• Crash reports, error diagnostics, and non-sensitive operational logs used to keep the app reliable.
• Optional location permission may be used for app features when you grant it. BeBrief does not sell location data or operate as a flight-tracking service.

Sample and Demo Data

BeBrief includes a free sample briefing that uses deterministic demo data and does not call Leidos Flight Service. Sample data is labeled in the app and is not official, not current, and not for flight use.

How We Use Information

• To authenticate your account and sync your app state across devices.
• To create, display, retrieve, amend, activate, close, or cancel briefing and flight-plan workflows you request.
• To verify subscription access and enforce Pro-only features.
• To deliver push notifications you have enabled.
• To diagnose errors, prevent abuse, secure the service, and improve reliability.

Data Sources and Service Providers

BeBrief is Leidos Flight Service-first for live briefing and official flight-plan workflows. Some supporting data may come from FAA, aviation, mapping, or app platform services as needed to provide the app experience.

Supabase

We use Supabase for authentication, database storage, Edge Functions, realtime updates, and security controls. Supabase Privacy Policy

Leidos Flight Service / 1800WXBRIEF

When you request live briefing, official briefing, filing, retrieve, amend, activate, close, cancel, or notification workflows, BeBrief sends the needed route, aircraft, pilot, and flight-plan information to Leidos Flight Service or 1800WXBRIEF-backed services.

RevenueCat and Apple

We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions and Apple to process App Store purchases. BeBrief receives subscription status, entitlement status, product identifiers, and customer identifiers, but not your payment card details. RevenueCat Privacy Policy

Sentry

We use Sentry for crash reporting and error diagnostics. BeBrief is configured to redact sensitive auth, Flight Service, route, phone, beacon, and payload fields before sending events. Sentry Privacy Policy

Apple and Google Authentication

If you use Apple or Google sign-in, those providers process sign-in according to their own privacy policies.

Data Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We share information only as needed to operate BeBrief, process subscriptions, provide Flight Service workflows you request, comply with law, prevent abuse, or protect the service.

Data Retention

• Account, aircraft, route, briefing, and subscription data are retained while your account is active or as needed to provide service history and auditability.
• Flight Service workflow records may be retained to support filed-plan status, troubleshooting, audit logs, and legal or operational requirements.
• You can request account deletion or delete available app data from the app settings where supported.
• Diagnostic events are retained according to the policies and settings of the diagnostic provider.

Data Security

• Data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS.
• Authentication is handled by trusted identity providers and Supabase Auth.
• Database access is protected by Row Level Security and server-side authorization checks.
• Service-role keys and Leidos credentials are kept server-side and are not exposed through the mobile app.

Your Choices

• You can disable push notifications in your device settings and manage notification preferences in the app where available.
• You can manage or cancel App Store subscriptions through Apple.
• You can request access, correction, export, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us.

Children's Privacy

BeBrief is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
